Description
The control system hardware
comprises a purged main control panel, a purged pneumatic
solenoid enclosure, purged servomotors and a purged
operator interface enclosure.
Additionally, AeroSpec, Inc. provides chillers for
the Spot Charging chamber and spot charging material.
The electrical hardware will be rated for a Class
II, Division 1 hazardous location and “UL” listed or
recognized, wherever possible, to meet “UL” compliance
and to ensure the selection of quality, tested electrical
components. Selected
electrical components are standard off-the-self components
where ever possible, to ensure technical support,
maintenance, and replacement availability.
Details
The
purged NEMA 4 operator interface panel, located on the
machine provides convenient access to the system controls.
The operator panel includes the following
pushbuttons and indicators: power on, emergency stop,
reset, start/stop, auto/manual mode select, step machine,
raise bowl, lower bowl and fault indication light.
A text display provides set point modification and
fault messages.
The
main control panel contains an Allen Bradley PLC, 7-slot
rack, rack power supply, all control circuit breakers and
fuses, control relays, intrinsic barriers and terminals.
A 24VDC power supply powers all I/O devices and
barriers. A
wall mounted NEMA 4 control enclosure with a door-mounted
rotary disconnect houses the controls hardware.
The control panel mounts to the side of the
machine. All
field device wiring terminates to terminals in this panel.
Emergency Stop buttons, incorporated into the
Control Panel door and the operator interface, remove
control power from motion causing devices.
The purged main control panel is designed and
fabricated to comply with Underwriter’s Laboratories and
NEC specifications.
A
purged NEMA 4 pneumatic panel houses the solenoid valves
and an electrically operated air dump.
All pneumatic tubing exits the pneumatic panel
through bulkhead connections in the bottom of the panel.
The shut-off, filter and regulator, protected by a
Plexiglas cover, mount to the machine base.
A ˝” Q.D. connector provides a system air hookup
point.
